Session Formats

CDx Summit 2026 is built around participation. Most sessions are discussions rather than presentations, designed to surface what companies are actually learning as they act.

CDx’s signature format. A few contributors speak from the center of the room, framing the issue from different angles, before the floor opens up and participants from the outer circles join the discussion. No panels, no slides. The value comes from candid exchange between people facing the same problems.

Townhall​

A high-level opening discussion bringing senior leaders from business, finance, and policy together for an honest read of where corporate decarbonization stands across the region: what is moving, what is stuck, and how the conversation has changed.​

Spotlight Sessions

Partner-led sessions that go deep on a single transition challenge. Drawing on the expertise of CDx partners working directly on these issues across the region, they combine practical insight with open discussion and direct access to specialists.

Co-Creation​

Working sessions rather than showcases. CDx is developing new initiatives to strengthen implementation support across the region, and these discussions invite participants to shape what gets built. ​

The Great Debate​​

Opposing voices in direct, structured argument on a stated motion. Speakers argue a position rather than presenting a balanced view, and the audience is invited to challenge both sides.​

Requests for emissions and sustainability data now arrive regularly from customers, banks, and investors, rarely in the same format twice. For most companies the constraint is not ambition but response capacity, with data spread across systems and no clear owner. This session looks at how companies are organizing to respond, and turning a recurring scramble into a repeatable process.

Energy Procurement in 2026: Better Strategies for Southeast Asian Businesses

Efficiency contracts, onsite generation, RECs, and clean power agreements all sit on the table, each with different owners and approval routes. The difficulty is less about knowing the options and more about choosing between them and getting a deal signed. This session looks at what companies are buying first, where deals stall, and what has moved them forward.

Getting Suppliers on Board: Practical Scope 3 Progress Without Perfect Data

Scope 3 is where most decarbonization journeys slow down, with incomplete supplier data and limited supplier capacity. Waiting for better data is not a strategy, particularly as customers and investors start asking about supply chain emissions directly. This session looks at which suppliers to approach first, what to ask for, and how to set targets that hold up without full visibility.

The session will unpack what is still needed in Thailand, including insights from RE100's recent work on expanding DPPAs beyond data centres and key recommendations for the path forward.

Thailand sits at the center of Southeast Asia's data center boom, anchored by hyperscale investment, jobs, and a fast-growing digital economy. But the same boom is absorbing renewable capacity and grid connections that other companies are competing for, and scrutiny over undisclosed water and energy use is growing. Rather than a scripted panel, this session brings opposing voices into direct, structured argument on whether that growth can deliver on its sustainability promise.
