DESCRIPTION:The Philippines has made strong policy commitments toward net-zero\, yet implementation at the SME level remains slow. Many businesses struggle to convert energy-efficiency targets and renewable energy ambitions into tangible projects. This webinar aims to bridge that gap – showing how collaboration and local innovation can translate national goals into business action. \nUnder the Twinning Arrangements for Decarbonization for Southeast Asia (Regional) Project (Twinning Project)\, the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) hopes to promote low-carbon approaches and technologies by convening like-minded organizations as ‘twins’ or clusters that can share knowledge and best practices in the region. Based on its existing collaboration with the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA)\, ETP is actively considering sub-national governments for inclusion as ‘twins’ under the Project\, along with other parties such as active industry associations and financiers. \nHosted by ETP and powered by the Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx)\, this 45-minute Stakeholder Engagement Event (SEE) webinar will introduce the Twinning Project and highlight a local success story that demonstrates what practical decarbonization looks like in the Philippine context. \nObjectives \n\nIntroduce and explain the Twinning Project as a platform for collaboration\, capacity-building\, and financing support – and invite interested organizations to participate.\nShowcase a real-world decarbonization case study from the Philippines\, focusing on SMEs in the food and beverage or commercial-building sectors\, to demonstrate achievable\, cost-effective climate solutions.\nHighlight how Philippine enterprises and LGUs can translate national energy-efficiency and decarbonization policies into practical\, on the ground action.
